Today I have prepared a coloring page presenting a warm winter hat with a pompom, perfect for colder days! This pattern was originally used as a graphomotor exercise – I filled the inside of the hat with various patterns for tracing. Today I decided that it will work just as well as a coloring page, from which children can create their own, fantastic winter hats.
Suggest that children create a unique pattern on the hat, using different colors and ideas. You can have fun with “designing winter collections”. Each household member can paint their own hat, and if you use this motif in kindergarten or school – each child can color their hat in a completely different way, and then the children can show their projects to others. For variety, you can suggest that they cut out a ready-made hat and stick it on cardboard, and then create a winter pendant or a decoration for a school magazine from it.
Winter hat for coloring
You can color the hat with crayons, markers or paints. You can also use less typical art materials: scraps of fabric, yarn or coloured tissue paper. You can glue them to the hat, creating a more three-dimensional work. It all depends on the skills of the children who will fill in this pattern.
If you want to add something special, encourage the children to decorate the hat with their own patterns – small dots, stripes, zigzags or even small hearts. You can also have a competition for the most interesting winter pattern or tell each other what winter stories could be hidden behind each of these colourful hats!
But like many of our other colouring pages, this is not just for children. If you yourself feel like creating your own fantastic headgear for the winter months – go ahead. Get to work! I am waiting for your opinions on how you liked the fun.
