Subtraction to 10 – maths for kids

We add a second maths worksheet for kids to learn to subtract within 10. This time we practice completing equations. The purpose of the tasks is to enter such numbers into the marked places to get the real equation.

This time in the equation we have given the minuend value and the difference, i.e. the result of subtraction. The kids’ task is to calculate the subtrahend.

The use of colored squares makes this task easier. First, we color as many squares as the minuend indicates. Then we cross out as many squares as the difference indicates. The remaining squares in color and not crossed out will show the value of the subtrahend.

A mathematical graph should be dealt with in a similar way.
