Snowflake – picture tracing worksheets

Today we’re adding another winter picture tracing printables. This time for a little younger kids. On the worksheet you will find one large snowflake template. Not too complicated, with few details, just right for preschoolers. However, older children may also like it.

In my opinion, such a graphomotor exercise fits quite well into the atmosphere of long winter evenings. You can also use them during classes with children in January or February, talking about the winter weather. When giving children a task to complete, you can use various snowflake templates for tracing.

There are two trace drawing templates at your disposal. One is dotted and the other is drawn with a solid line. The first one is a bit more difficult.

How to use the picture tracing worksheets

I have prepared this worksheet for kids with winter fun in the service of fine motor skills in mind. Although these are not typical tracing lines worksheet for kids, they help in practicing hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. The youngest children do not even have to draw a line to complete the exercise. Just follow the pattern with their finger.

However, the main task of this exercise for children is to trace the outlines of the snowflake. You can use crayons, markers, paints, colored pens. Pick and mix. You can also change the form of the activity a bit and give your child a snowflake template to cut out along the outer contours. However, this form requires a bit more manual precision.

You can also treat Snowflake as a base for coloring. You can use watercolors, crayons, colored glitters and even cotton wool. Such a winter coloring page can become an interesting decoration in a child’s room or classroom.

I invite you to play 😉
