In a cozy little house on the edge of a winter forest stood a Christmas tree that was truly special. It had a smile from ear to ear (if Christmas trees have ears, but that’s a detail!) and full, fluffy branches just waiting to be decorated. This Christmas tree loved December because it was its favorite time of the year – the season of presents! Oh, how it couldn’t wait to see beautifully wrapped packages tucked under its branches.
“I wonder what gifts I’ll get to guard this year!” the Christmas tree thought, swaying its star on top. “Maybe a doll, maybe building blocks, or maybe colorful crayons? Oh yes, crayons would be perfect so the kids could decorate my branches and baubles!”
The Cheerful Christmas Tree always believed that children were the best artists, so it happily invited everyone to join in the fun. And today, it has a special task for you – trace its branches and ornaments, and decorate it as beautifully as you can! Ready? Let’s get started! 🎄 ✨
[…] Now this extraordinary Christmas tree comes to you in the form of a worksheet to jointly exercise little hands and prepare them for writing.
I have prepared this tracing lines exercise especially for December. The task of the children is to trace along the twigs and ornaments, and then they can color the entire Christmas tree according to their own idea. The fluffy twigs of this Christmas tree remind me of patterns that can be copied – like magical tracing lines, only without ruling. The Christmas tree is decorated with a star on top, baubles and of course its joyful smile, which encourages joint play. But kids can add their own decorations. Glue pom-poms, or use a pencil eraser to stamp small circles of paint, which will be further baubles, or a chain on the twigs.
To make it easier, I have created two versions of this exercise – one with a dashed line and the other with a continuous line, so that you can adjust the level of difficulty to the child’s skills. This is a great task that develops precise hand movements, concentration and creativity.
I invite you to download this unique tracing line worksheet with a cheerful Christmas tree and I wish you great fun! 🎄 🎁
