It was warm for a week before Halloween. Sun came out from behind the rain clouds and we changed our artistic plans for forest hiking. Alternatively park and bicycle.
A minimum worth to devote to joyful creativity. So what we propose today? sparkling with brocade, shiny spider-web, useful even as decorations for Halloween.
Shiny Halloween spider web from glue and brocade as a wall decoration
Needed craft supplies:
- white glue for wood and paper (PVA glue),
- brocade (glitter),
- sheet of food wrap, wax paper or sheet protector to binder
- cardboard (optional),
- adhesive putty removable pads (optional).
To this crafts for toddlers you need a few things. The necessary minimum is only 4 craft supplies: white wood glue, glitter, a piece of foil and a marker. For toddlers will be useful additional aid in the form of cardboard. It stabilizes the foil and allow freely rotate sketch cobwebs.
In addition to the spider webs they will fit done by kids bugs, for example spider and flys. In our staging nature took over the role of food colored insects of fruit maple, made some time ago.

The craft starts by drawing a sketch cobwebs on the foil. Hence, we need a permanent marker. Fun for preschoolers are better suited to the sketch on something stiffer. Our cardboard has been wrapped with food wrap, but if you have a loose sheet protector is also good to check.
We usually buy the glue in a big package that is not suitable for children. However, the glue can be poured into a package with a spout, eg. pack of deployed glue. In our case it is a bottle of paint dryer – if you do not use these, you can always ask a colleague or hairdresser.
Kids squeeze the glue out of the bottle covering the successive lines, from the center to the outside lines. For convenience, you can rotate the project.
At once after glue application on the foil you apply brocade. Not regret glitter – it has to be shiny!
Now comes the tricky … we put the cobweb to dry and wait … about a day. Kids are inconsolable, but they learn patience.
The dried glue becomes transparent or milky, depending on the thickness. We remove it from the foil as sticker.
The applicability of shiny spider webs are considerable: thematic decorations for Halloween, wall decorations or ornament window. For each something special. Our cobweb hit on the wall attached to it by adhesive putty (something like plasticine). Together with colorful insects create a mood before Halloween 😉
