Epiphyllum is one of those cacti that can easily be mistaken for a leafy plant. It has long, flat, cut-out stems that may look like leaves at first glance, but they are not leaves at all. And that shape was exactly what interested me most while drawing.

Just a cactus in a pot, a little different from the most typical round and spiky ones. Calm, decorative, and quite pleasant to color. It comes from a completely different environment than many popular cacti. Its home is in the tropical forests of Central and South America, where it grows on other plants. But I will not tell you all about the biology of this epiphyte here, because you will surely find more reliable sources of knowledge on that topic.
