Picture of spring flowers – egg carton crafts for kids

Spring flowers grow. Also in our house. This time we created a spring picture with recycled egg cartons, filled with vibrant colors and fantasy.

Craft supplies needed to make egg carton flowers

Before you start the art project for kids, gather the necessary craft supplies:
• egg carton,
• cardboard or card stock,
• leaves, which also can be cut out of egg cartons,
• old newspapers to made the stems (optional: green crepe paper),,
• paint,
• PVA glue (to a wood and paper),
• frame.

Again, to crafts for kids to use an egg carton. On the occasion of the recent Easter we have collected their bit in different shapes, so we have plenty to choose from. We found a egg carton, which has an extremely low edges. He is well suited to do the spring flowers.

Spring activities for kids

Cut egg carton as shown in the picture above. With smaller cups can be cut smaller flowers, such as those shown under the egg carton, and with larger, round molds, you can really conjure up a variety of flowers. Some ideas can be found on the right side of the egg carton.

In this craft, leaves were cut from the residue egg cartons and smaller fragments remaining after cutting of large flowers. Younger children better offer large leaves, cut from cardboard or rolls of toilet paper.

When you cut all the elements and preparation of twisted stems, together with the children we prepare the project. Kids choose flowers that will be later in the picture, and select appropriate number of stems and leaves.

When everything already gained color and dried up, we could glue the flowers from egg cartons, then steams and finally leaves.

One of the flowers has freely hang over the frame. For this to happen, we need to glue the flower to steam. Two leaves strengthen connection to the flower that not fallen.

In the picture were a bit more stems than flowers, which gives us a nice, three-dimensional background . In fact leaves they are no longer necessary in this art project for kids, but since we have them … glue them.
