Mystery picture, pixel art 10×10 – busy bee – decode the picture nr 24

Bees are some of the hardest working creatures we know. Every day they take care of flowers, plants and our world. Now, however, your child will have to show perseverance to decode the cute little bee! Thanks to this worksheet from the mystery picture series, children have the opportunity to decode the image of a bee step by step.

Our hardworking bee is an ideal topic for younger children who love nature and are curious about the world around them. The task is to read the code pixel by pixel, which perfectly prepares children for more complex graphic tasks and helps develop spatial thinking. Incidentally, exercises of this type develop concentration and precision, useful not only during school learning.

I have prepared a PDF file for the exercises, which you can print out. You will find three pages in it that you can use for fun:

  • A page with a code that leads children to discover a small, hardworking bee. Each pixel has a specific field assigned, which makes it easier for the little ones to find their way around the task.
  • The second page is a ready-made image of a bee, which allows children to compare their performance with the original and check the correctness of the solution.
  • The third page is a completely new challenge! This time, children can code the image of a bee on their own, which is a great exercise in logical thinking and planning.

Mystery picture with a busy bee is not only a fun coloring game, but above all it teaches orientation on the board, concentration and precision. These are skills that are useful not only when working in a coordinate system, but also in everyday life. Thanks to large squares (1.5 cm) and an ordered code, the task is ideal for kids who are just starting their adventure with pixels and image coding. It is also a great way to develop imagination and creativity!

Graphic dictation can be used in various ways:

  • coloring the picture according to the given code – children read the code on their own,
  • coloring the picture according to the given code by ear – someone is reading the code to the child,
  • pasting the image according to the given pattern,
  • redrawing the image from the original solution,
  • writing the code based on the printed pattern.
