Despite their unusual form, these types of tracing lines have the same uses as their traditional versions. They can be used as a graphomotor exercise preparing for learning to write and developing fine motor skills. However, the form without rulings may encourage children to work who currently have problems with keeping within the rulings. Sometimes this way it is easier to start working with a child who is a young perfectionist and every smallest mistake is a disappointment for him.
