This dinosaur to color definitely doesn’t look like one you’d need to run away from. Its long neck, gentle expression, small plates running along its back and tail, and a few spots make it look more like a friendly character from a children’s story than a fearsome creature from the prehistoric world.
This is another coloring page drawn by my daughter. It is also styled to look like a simple child’s drawing, without trying to faithfully recreate any particular dinosaur species.
The drawing has plenty of large, open areas, so you can easily use colored pencils, markers, paints, or pastels. Choose whatever you enjoy most, or experiment a little.
Dinosaur coloring pages with bold lines
This simple dinosaur coloring page for kids can work well both for casual coloring at home and for activities about dinosaurs and prehistory. I wouldn’t treat it as an educational illustration of a specific species, though. I see it more as a loose interpretation of a plant-eater reaching up to the tops of trees.
Where is it strolling off to so calmly? I have a feeling it’s definitely not hurrying off to hunt. 😉 After all, the leaves aren’t going anywhere!
