Gifts and baubles – Christmas coloring page to print

The first winter evenings have something magical about them. When it gets colder outside and Christmas decorations start to appear around, it’s easier to have a moment of reflection. For me, usually with a pencil in hand. Christmas is getting closer, and with it the inseparable joy of creation – in the kitchen, at home, at the table with children, when we sit down together to play arts and crafts.

This is exactly the mood I was in when I was drawing this coloring page. It presents a collection of Christmas motifs – presents in decorative paper tied with bows, baubles, stars, candy canes and holly leaves. The pattern takes up the entire page, creating space for creative play. I drew it based on my own sketch, so it retains the character of a hand-drawn drawing – with slight imperfections that make it more “mine”. I think this stage – sketching – is what I like most about my work. It always has something spontaneous and not entirely predictable about it. Even though the drawing was later digitally edited, it still has that little bit of imperfection that reminds me that it was created “by hand”.

Gifts and presents in Christmas coloring pages

This gifts coloring page is ready to download in two formats: Letter (8.5 x 11 inches) and A4 (210 x 297 mm). Simply pick the one that’s right for you.

This isn’t the easiest pattern. It has a lot of small details, so it’s better for adults or older children. I’ll try to use some of the elements to make an easier version for younger children. Here you can go wild by giving your gifts fancy patterns. You can decorate the baubles with glitter or experiment with different techniques. If you want to go a step further, you can cut out the finished elements and use them as decorations for Christmas cards or decorations to hang in your home.

I hope that this Christmas coloring page will be a nice addition to your Christmas preparations, regardless of whether you use it to play with your children or as a moment of respite for yourself. Such a simple and pleasant activity for winter afternoons with a cup of tea at hand. Because sometimes all you need to do is reach for the crayons to feel that magical, winter mood.
