I enjoy drawing Easter eggs. I’m not sure why, but there’s something truly relaxing about this theme. The egg shape itself offers so many possibilities — you can decorate it in dozens of different ways. Lately, I’ve been playing around with this shape again, and from a few sketches, a new coloring page was born. The shapes this time are simple and pleasant, definitely less detailed than some of my earlier, more intricate floral eggs. This one features easy-to-color patterns, sweet little hearts, a few dots here and there — and just like that, a cheerful little design perfect for a springtime moment with crayons or markers.
To make it easier for younger children, I’ve prepared two printable versions: a regular one and one with bold outlines. That way, even kids who are just learning how to color neatly can enjoy this Easter egg and have fun with it.
Of course, this kind of activity doesn’t really come with an age limit. It’s just as fun for kids as it is for grown-ups. So maybe… break out the markers?
I hope you’ll enjoy this design as much as I enjoyed drawing it. It’s a great little addition to your Easter art projects—whether at home, in the classroom, or at preschool. And if you’d like, you can combine it with other Easter egg printables from my site to create your own festive gallery of colorful decorations!
Both versions of the coloring page are available to download — just click and print. Let me know how it works out for you!
