Today I have a new exercise for you, tracing lines in pictures, which will be a great introduction to learning to write. This time I have prepared something related to the cozy little things that decorate our homes – a large, decorative vase filled with patterns for drawing along the lines. To add some natural charm to the picture, I placed large leaves in the vase, which can also be easily traced.
The kids task is to trace along the lines of all the elements – both the vase itself and the leaves inside it. This is a great exercise for any time of year, which supports the development of fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and precise hand movements. Tracing is not only good fun, but also an effective way to prepare children for writing.
After you have finished drawing, I encourage you to color the entire composition. 🎨 There are plenty of possibilities – from choosing colors for the leaves to giving the vase a unique, decorative look. This type of task develops not only motor skills but also creativity, which means that children can enjoy the process of creating their own works.
This exercise is perfect before learning to write and will work both in kindergarten and at home. I invite you to download this worksheet and discover the joy of drawing and coloring together!
Have fun! 🌿
