Decorative Easter Egg with Patterns – Coloring Pages to Print

Winter is finally fading. The crocuses have already bloomed, and the daffodils and hyacinths fill the morning air with their sweet scent. Spring flowers are bursting on the nearby trees, and everything feels a little lighter. When I get a quiet moment and can sit down with a pencil in hand, I often find myself sketching Easter eggs. It’s such a comforting theme — simple at first glance, but full of possibilities for playing with shape and rhythm.

This time, I went for a slightly more detailed design, filled with waves, dots, and small repeating patterns that come together to create a pleasant and decorative motif.

This egg may look a bit more intricate than some of my earlier designs, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to color — especially if you print it at a larger size. You can use crayons, markers, or even fine liners, depending on the look you’re going for. It’s a great option for older kids or anyone who enjoys focusing on a pattern for a bit.

As usual, I’ve prepared two versions: one with bold lines, and another with thinner outlines. That way, you can choose the version that works best for the age of the child, the coloring tools you prefer, or just your mood for the day.

And if you’re in the mood to turn this egg into something more, you can pair it with other designs from my site. Together, they make a great set for decorating a classroom, preschool space, or even an Easter bulletin board at home — on the fridge, the wall, or wherever you like. You can also print the designs smaller (two per page, for example) and use them to make cheerful Easter cards.

Which option did you choose? Let me know in the comments!
