Colorful fish from autumn leaves

As announced in a previous post, today we have another idea to use autumn leaves in the art for kids. This time we create pictures of fish in the lead role.

Again, we paint dried leaves. For kids their flat ground surface is easier to paint.

During one of autumn walks we have gathered some leaves from the trees, they are often thicker and stiffer than those from the bushes. The leaves can be dried between the pages of an old notebook or a book. As a result, they are not curled. Then we could only paint.

Acrylic paints are best suited for painting leaves (cheap and good hiding are, for example. testers interior paints). However, if these do not have, tempera, or poster paints also give good results.

Already painted fish can be used in many ways. As an elegant addition to gifts, wall décor, or even part of the picture, as pictured below.

Pebbles from the beach, a few blades of grass, yarrow leaves, or plantain, and occur aquatic plants. And bubbles, bubbles? These are the circles cut out punch from a white sheet.

Staging can be many. Fish on a coral reef, fish in the aquarium, or … Where?
