The task of the children is to draw along the lines, which perfectly helps in developing graphomotor skills and prepares them for learning to write. Exercises of this type support the development of precise hand movements, which is extremely important before children start writing their first letters. The butterfly has a simple shape, which makes it easier for toddlers to follow the lines, and the smiley face will certainly bring a smile to the faces of little artists.
After they finish tracing the butterfly, I encourage the children to color it. They can use any colors and create their own, unique butterfly. This is a great opportunity to develop imagination and creativity!
