Balloon dog – coloring page for kids

Not long ago, I found a forgotten pack of balloons tucked away in a closet. You know the long ones that can be twisted into all sorts of shapes — giraffes, bunnies, flowers, whatever you feel like making. Although in our case, they also ended up in a few papier-mâché projects. One little creature still lives in the closet to this day.

But back to balloon twisting. One of the simplest shapes you can make with those colorful balloons came back to me right away. The balloon dog. It only takes a few twists to create that child-friendly little shape. Maybe that is why it was the first one I thought of. I decided to bring it onto paper and turn it into a simple coloring page for kids and adults.

Whether it is a birthday party, a New Year’s Eve celebration, or any other kind of gathering, you can have fun creating the most whimsical color combinations for these little dogs. Maybe flowers? Maybe purple dalmatian-style spots? Or maybe zebra stripes? Simple shapes like this really leave plenty of room for imagination when it comes to coloring.

I think one day I will also add a bold and easy version with thick outlines, so it will be especially fun to color with markers.

Balloons in coloring pages for birthdays and parties

This balloon coloring page is ready to download in two formats: Letter (8.5 x 11 inches) and A4 (210 x 297 mm). Simply pick the one that’s right for you.

Twisting balloons is such good fun. But let’s be honest — those balloons can disappear surprisingly fast. A balloon coloring page can be a nice alternative when that happens, or simply an extra activity to go along with the party fun.

While coloring this simple balloon dog design, you can try all kinds of patterns. 🎨 Maybe you already have a favorite? Polka dots and hearts? Or maybe you want to test out something completely new? Every balloon dog can look different and special. And once you gather them all together, they might even turn into a wonderful keepsake from the party. It does not really matter whether it is a children’s birthday party, a bachelorette party, or a baby shower.

So I am inviting both younger and older colorists to join in the fun. I hope this slightly less typical shape in our coloring pages will be something you enjoy. ✨ And let me know how it worked for you!
