This time I have something really special for you – a series of math crosswords with addition to 10, which I have prepared with the youngest students in mind! 🧠 Although this type of crossword appears on my website less often, it is an extremely valuable form of exercise. This is a slightly more difficult version, because on both sides of the equal sign we have operations to perform, and only then do we compare their results. Here, children learn simple, two-part operations, in which there are two numbers on both sides of the equation. Solving these tasks may be intuitive for many kids, but importantly, this type of operation will return to them many times in later years when learning mathematics.
These crosswords belong to the second level of difficulty, which means that they are ideal for kids who have already mastered the basics in the form of math facts, and are ready for a slightly bigger challenge. Although the tasks are relatively easy, they develop the ability to add in an engaging and friendly way.
Addition to 10 – printable math crosswords
On the website you will find four different copies of square crosswords with addition up to 10. In order to adapt to different preferences and needs, I have prepared two versions of fonts – one uses a written font, the other a printed one. In each version you will find two PDF files: the first contains a task to solve independently, without the answer, so that children can try their hand at it without hints. The second file contains both the task and the solution, which makes it easier for teachers or parents to quickly check the correctness.
